As part of the school’s mandatory assignment for its Furniture Design course, BuzziSpace donated 18 rolls of BuzziFelt for use in whichever way the undergraduates desired.
At BuzziSpace, we know our success is linked directly to the communities we live and work in. For these communities to prosper, we believe it’s vital to partner up with leaders in our own backyard to leverage our resources and expertise.
One recent example is our collaboration with Thomas More University of Applied Sciences located in Mechelen, Belgium. As part of the school’s mandatory assignment for its Furniture Design course, BuzziSpace donated 18 rolls of BuzziFelt for use in whichever way the undergraduates desired. Students aged between 18 to 26 put their creative design minds to the test by creating unique, one-off furniture pieces designed with BuzziFelt as their core material.
Out of 200 submissions received, 24 semi-finalists were chosen. This was further narrowed down to 6 finalists. Out of the 6 finalists, 2 winners were crowned, one in the Lighting category and the other in the Furniture category, for their conceptual ideas and ingenious use of BuzziFelt. Each design was applauded for its production methods, resulting in little to no waste.
By continuously giving back to our community, we hope to attract future employees while improving the world of furniture and lighting design.
