They are nurturers. They oversee design ideas and bring them to life. They support the creation of new products before they are sent out into the world. Before a product sees the light of day, and long before it’s introduced to the market, it goes through an intense development. Under the guidance of our product managers and developers, the process typically takes between five to 12 months from design concept to product launch.

It’s about striking a balance between a design concept and what is feasible from a production perspective.

Our product development team remains in close conversation with the designer. Maintaining an open conversation is crucial to safeguard the original design idea without losing time on issues related to engineering challenges. It’s about striking a balance between a design concept and what’s feasible from a production perspective.

To achieve this balance, every development process starts by defining key, non-negotiable elements of the initial idea from both a visual and functional perspective.

Then, the research begins. Early conversations also include a discussion about customization options. Which colors, materials, and sizes should be offered? From there, the idea is translated into technical drawings, which help inform the creation of an initial prototype.

If no significant issues arise during testing of the first prototype, the development process continues to the next phase. This includes finalizing technical drawings and negotiations with suppliers to source the right components needed for manufacturing.

After several rounds of prototyping, testing, and evaluation, the product is typically approved and released for production.

Even after production is initiated, the product team remains involved. A designated product manager and developer typically oversee the whole process, but if a deadline is running tight, the rest of the team will provide their support too.

Just like the machinery we use for production, our product development team is a critical component to everything we make at BuzziSpace. Every member adds value, and the combined skill set of the whole team contributes to bringing high-quality products to market.

Other departments also play a central role in the development of our products. For instance, our sales team is instrumental in supplying the product team with direct feedback from clients related to special request. This helps both product managers and developers to stay up-to-date on customer needs and trends. Product development really is a team sport.
